
Basic IPC/WASH for Young Professionals
Background
An introductory course specifically designed to provide basic skills and tools to empower African health professionals in their IPC-WASH improvement efforts. This course is developed around skills and tools to support activities towards Sustainable Millennium Goals:
- Understand microbes and transmission within the built environment
- Evaluate the WASH provisions and develop an action plan
- To improve the build environment with minimum resources & education
- Continue improvement through basic IPC surveillance and WASH Fit Audit
What is the content/structure of this course:
This is a 5-day course structured to provide face to face didactic lectures in the morning and clinical visits, group work and discussions in the afternoon. Each morning, there will be a quick revision of the previous day’s work. On the last day, there will be a formal test

R$250 / R3,400.00/Per student (50% of fee payable prior to commencement, 50% on completion of course)
